Our client, a Top 20 Pharma, has exclusively engaged Junto HLS to recruit a Research Investigator/ Scientist – API.

Position Overview: 

• Education – BS, MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or a related field
• Small molecule, solid formulations or roller compaction experience are a plus

Select Accountabilities:

• The development of suitable, scalable API manufacturing processes whilst providing material with the desired critical quality attributes (CQAs)
• Work within global project teams in a highly cross-functional environment collaborating with the analytical chemistry, formulations and pre-formulation functions
• Representing the company at scientific conferences, exhibitions, etc. – Inclusive collaborations with prestigious academic institutions and industry consortiums
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues through collaboration with CMOs as well as through the creation of scale-down models
• Use a variety of methodologies to characterize the DS bulk properties and determine which are CQAs
• Assess the impact of the crystallization, filtration, drying & milling unit operations on the DS bulk properties
• Create scale-down and mathematical models to enable the study and scale-up of the filtration, drying and milling unit operations
• Independently conduct complex experiments
• Supervising summer students/industrial trainees
